Sannyasa Deeksha Guru
Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati
Vedanta Course

Swami Shivaprakashananda Saraswati is a sannyasi and a traditional teacher of Vedanta. He showed a great inclination towards spirituality and practiced spiritual disciplines from his childhood days. He left home at the age of twenty-two in quest of the ultimate truth. His understanding of spirituality blossomed with the grace of Pujya Swamiji and some of his senior disciples.

He came across many sadhus received his preliminary spiritual instructions from some of them. He was attracted towards the works of Sri Shankaracharya and studied the Bhashyas with great earnestness.  He spent a few years as a Brahmachari practicing intense spiritual disciplines and offering his services to various philanthropic activities.

Quest for deeper insight into the shastras brought him to Arsha Vijnana Gurukulam, Nagpur, where he studied Vedanta and Sanskrit Grammar for a period of three years under the tutelage of  Pujya Swamiji and Swamini Brahmaprakashanandaji. The Swami continued his sadhana for some time in Rishikesh. While in Rishikesh, he was in close association with many mahatmas and was inspired by their simple and austere life. He received initiation into the life of Sannyasa from Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati on the Shivaratri day of 2013.

The year 2013 brought the Swami to Bengaluru, where he taught Vedanta to seekers from all walks of life – from medical professionals to engineers and college students to professors. He served as the Acharya at Swami Dayanand Ashram Rishikesh for a brief period of five months in 2021. For the past several years, the Swami has been working tirelessly to disseminate the Knowledge of Vedanta. Swami is well versed in traditional Vedanta literature, various systems of Indian Philosophy and Paninian Sanskrit Grammar. He unfolds texts like Bhagavadgita and Upanishads in line with the traditional understanding and his own enlightenment.

Swami has firm conviction and absolute dedication to the works of traditional teachers of Vedanta like Sri Adi Shankaracharya. Swami has an ardent desire to spread the knowledge of Brahman without any pomp or show. His serene personality reflects the poise and depth of his knowledge. His simple and methodical  approach in expounding the spiritual wisdom appeals even to the most logical minds of the present generation.
